If you find yourself regularly creating new images with a specific size or color, you can create a document template for them.
Modifying templates
On the Welcome Screen, click the 3 dots to the right of the New button, then click the pencil icon in the top right. This will display
a list of available templates.
There are several types of templates:
Internal templates
These templates are built into NPS Image Editor. If you don't like one, you can "delete" it which will hide it from the list.
If you want it back, you can then restore it.
Basic templates
Basic templates allow you to specify a width, height, background color, and optionally a name. These are essentially blank images.
Full templates
Full templates are full .npsd
files that can contain complex image data, layers, and more. You can import an existing
image to use as a template.
.npst Files
Any .npsd
file can be converted to a template by renaming it to .npst
. This will allow NPS Image Editor to
open it and automatically create a new document (rather than overwriting the file). You can place those files anywhere on your system;
double-clicking on such a file will use it as a template for a new document.
