Automatic UpdatesUpdate modeSpecifies how NPS Image Editor will check for updates. Do not check for updatesNPS Image Editor will never check for updates on its own. You can still manually check for updates via the Help menu. Check for updates and notify when availableChecks for updates on the schedule you specify. If an update is available, the "Update" indicator will appear but the update will not download or install until you choose to do so. Download automatically, prompt before installingChecks for updates on the schedule you specify. If an update is available, NPS Image Editor will automatically download it and the "Update" indicator will appear when it is ready to install. If you ignore the update indicator, NPS Image Editor will prompt you to install the update the next time it starts. Automatically download and installChecks for updates on the schedule you specify. If an update is available, NPS Image Editor will automatically download it and install it the next time you open the program. (NPS Image Editor will not restart itself.) The Release channel is stable, the Beta channel allows you to test new features more quickly, and the Nightly channel gives you cutting-edge untested functionality. Allow installation of unverified filesThis setting has moved to the Debugging Tools page in NPS 4.0. Reset skipped updatesYou can skip a particular update when it is available. If you want to see it again, click this button. Clear update dataIf various issues are preventing you from downloading or installing an update, click this button to clear out any incomplete downloads or notifications, then check for updates again. This can be useful if a particular update is incompatible with your system and fails to install multiple times. |
