Summary: Allow NPS to load images via URL

Description
Allow URLs passed in via command-line to be opened as regular images. At a minimum, support HTTP/S and FTP.
Optionally support WebDAV verbs (PUT, POST) and/or the necessary FTP commands to also save to a URL.
Perhaps implement as an extension?
